GRADUATE YOUNG INVESTIGATOR PROGRAM NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for Scalable and Integrated NAnoManufacturing (SINAM) is inviting applications for “Graduate Young Investigator” Program. The purpose is to offer the opportunity for graduate students in leading the research project with their innovative ideas. Graduate students from six SINAM partner Universities are invited to compete for innovative research ideas. The student to be selected will be required to propose a new and innovative research topic that involves at least two faculty members at SINAM from different fields, to study a nano-manufacturing topic using a multidisciplinary approach. This will allow the student to experience being a “driver” in research and inspire them to work across different disciplines. The student will combine the fund, with resources from the faculty advisers to conduct an exploratory research project. More information can be found here. SINAM-Engineering Pathway Collaboration SINAM has started a new collaboration with Engineering Pathway (EP) to share our educational materials, including our popular programs like Discover Nanotechnology Grades 7-12, and Nanomanufacturing Summer Academy for Undergraduate, to a broad range of audiences. EP is a digital library served as the engineering “wing” of the National Science Digital Library (NSDL) and has over 6,000 registered users and approximately 1.4 million hits with 300,000 page views per month. |
